Visual3

Visual3 is an interactive graphics environment for the visualization of 3D, structured and/or unstructured data. This volumetric data may be steady or time varying.

Visual3 is callable from FORTRAN as well as C, and uses X and the native 3D API for optimum drawing speeds. Since it uses true color rendering Visual3 requires atleast 24 bits of color. Also, there is hardware dialbox support.

Visual3 Advanced Programmer's Guide
DEC Alpha Distribution. Requires Digital UNIX V3.2 (or higher), Open3D & 3D Graphics Hardware. Compressed tar image (2896540 bytes).
HP 9000/700 Distribution. Requires HP UX 10.2 with ACE, Open3D & FX2, FX4 or FX6 Graphics Hardware. Compressed tar image (2874365 bytes).
IBM RS/6000 Series Distribution. Requires AIX 4.1 (or higher), OpenGL and must have a graphics adaptor with at least a 12-bit TrueColor, double-buffer, ZBuffer X-visual. Compressed tar image (2319495 bytes).
SGI 32-bit Distribution. Requires 6.x (and is now n32) any 4D series w/ atleast 24-bit color and OpenGL. Compressed tar image (2951376 bytes).
SGI 64-bit Distribution. Requires IRIX 6.x , any R8000/R10000 workstation w/ atleast 24-bit color and ZBuffer. Compressed tar image (3019383 bytes).
SUN Distribution. Requires Solaris 2.5 (or higher), Creator3D graphics (or better) and OpenGL. Compressed tar image (2551129 bytes).
ICEM CFD Visual3. A commerically supported enhancement and extension of Visual3 with an intuitive GUI. This product is well integrated into the ICEM CFD suite of software. A Windows/NT port is available.

DEC (MIPS) Distribution. Requires ULTRIX 4.2a (or higher), PXG Turbo or PXG w/ Z-Buffer and 24-bit color. Compressed tar image (4526187 bytes).

VizMath Distribution. A series of scalar and vector field functions (such as Grad and Curl) for use with either Visual3 or pV3. Compressed tar image (512275 bytes).
Particle3 User's Guide
Particle3 Distribution. An add-on to Visual3 that allows the for the visualization of particle based simulations. Compressed tar image (789773 bytes).
